The Carpenter and the Weaver

Many centuries ago, a young carpenter and a young weaver were best of friends. One day, as they were enjoying a festival, the weaver and carpenter happened to see the beautiful princess going in her palanquin to the festivities. The weaver instantly fell in love with the beautiful princess at first sight! For days, he was unhappy that he couldn’t marry her as she was of royal blood while he was an ordinary citizen. When his friend, the carpenter came to know his friend’s plight, he decided to help his friend out. Together they decided to make effort to win the princess. The carpenter build a chariot which could fly with push of buttons and they made a strategy to disguise the weaver as Lord vishnu and descent on the princess’s balcony at night. The strategy seemed to work, as the princess fell in love with the weaver who visited her every night in disguise of Lord Vishnu. Soon the good news reached the king and queen that the princess had fallen in love with Lord Vishnu himself, and they were very happy for their daughter. When the neighboring king decided to attack the king, the king was not at all worried or fearful as he knew he had Lord vishnu for a son-in-law to defend their kingdom. The weaver heard the news about the upcoming battle and decided to help the king by acting as lord Vishnu and he decided to put his life in danger for protecting his city and the royal family. He flew in his chariot over the enemy dressed as Lord Vishnu. Meanwhile in heaven, when the real Lord Vishnu heard the news about the brave weaver imposing as Lord Vishnu himself to help his city and his kin, he decided to help the weaver for his good intentions and gave him all the strength he needed to win the war! Finally, they won the battle and the weaver told the truth about him not being the real Lord Visnu to the princess. The princess was impressed with the weaver for putting his life in danger and being courageous to fight the war for her family and the kingdom. She fell in love with him and they lived happily after a royal wedding!
