The Butterfly in the Cocoon

One day, a retired gentleman was taking a stroll in his garden. He noticed a cocoon and was excited to witness a butterfly coming out of this cocoon. Everyday he used to watch and observe the cocoon. To his surprise he saw one day, that there was a hole forming at the bottom of the cocoon and the butterfly was struggling to get out of the cocoon. The butterfly was not able to come out after struggling for a very long time. Then the butterfly became very quiet and still as though she had given up trying to come out of the cocoon. After observing all this, the kind gentleman decided to help the poor butterfly. He took scissors and cut the cocoon’s hole a little wider so the butterfly could easily come out. And then the butterfly without any struggle was able to come out easily out of her cocoon. When the butterfly came out her whole body was swollen and its wings were all dried up. The gentleman was excited and expected the butterfly would stretch out her wings and fly any instance but instead nothing like that happened. In fact the opposite happened. The butterfly was not able to fly at all and continued to hop around for the rest of her life. The gentleman in his eagerness and impulsiveness to help did’nt realize that mother nature makes the butterfly struggle to come out of her cocoon so that her wings get stronger and it can fly. In reality, the struggles we go through life are very neccasary so we can grow and learn from our mistakes and challenges and become stronger in life. If we without any struggles get everything we want then we will become like a disabled person. Without hardworking, struggling and pain we cannot become that stronger and grow according to our capacity. Thats why in life whatever challenges we face today we must think of them as gifts from God. Those challenges will enhance our capacity to fly and will make us become more successful.
